Colossians 2:6-7 reads, So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (NIV) While everyday should be a day of thanksgiving, today is the day celebrated where many will visit family and friends and, share food, laughter, and love. However we should remember those that are not feeling so happy this Thanksgiving. Those that don't have family to spend Thanksgiving with, those that are sick and in the hospital, those who've lost loved ones and just don't feel so thankful. Although we may have family and friends and feel blessed right now, there will come a time when we may not feel as blessed. We first should be most grateful for receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. And in return we should continue to live our lives in Him as the scripture says by sending encouragement to those who may not feel so thankful. So today I challenge you to reach out to someone that may be feeling a little discouraged. A simple phone call, text, or thinking of you would brighten their day. I pray that this message finds you in a thankful place in your lives. May God bless and keep you! Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
